Peppermint is a medicinal herb, cultivated globally and known for its distinct flavour aromatic fragrance. used in different industrial purposes, also consumed as tisane traditional medicine from time immemorial. possesses flavonoids, volatile oils, lutolin, hesperidins etc. The major components of the oil are methanol methone. has some efficacy an antineoplastic, anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-radiation, anti-oxidant well anti-inflammatory. leaf mainly to treat Upper G.I tract diseases, respiratory problems, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), nausea, hepatotoxicity, diabetes Anti-microbial effect peppermint corona virus (Covid-19) been found also, helps prevent interaction between host body by inhibiting formation receptor complex viral spike protein ACE2 receptors body. Furthermore it may act directly on or pierce membrane inactivates essential enzymes. Its effectivity seen during post-covid phase. consumption generally safe all age –groups, but intake large volume can cause heart burn gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This article holistically reviews therapeutic roles various physiological conditions.
